And to get you in the festive mood, we’ve rounded up the best of the cross stitch advent calenders for 2024.
Some of these have already started selling strong, so be sure to get yours soon before they run out!
The Project Cross Stitch Advent Calendar
Cost: $82 (£63)
From: Stitchfinity
Unlike a traditional advent calender, this cross stitch advent calender from Stitchfinity instead works somewhat like a Stitch-along. Each day you get a little more of the pattern, allowing you to stitch for an hour a day. And at the end of your advent, you get a festive decoration to keep and use every year!
We don’t know what this year’s is, but in the past they’ve had a light up 3D gingerbread house, Christmas bunting, and a santa delivering presents diarama. They are honestly some of the best festive patterns out there, and comes from an expert in the cross stitch space.
With a massive online group to stitch with you, and even a donation to the WellChild charity, it truly is a project to get stuck in when those nights come in.
Includes:
– 24 envelopes each containing a surprise pattern and relevant materials
– Extra surprises hidden within each day’s information
– Everything you need to create your heirloom Christmas decor
– A dedicated Facebook Group to share your journey
– Online calendar calls for support and community
– A donation to WellChild with every purchase
– A dedicated area of their website for all the detailed instructions you’ll need to complete your project
The Packed Cross Stitch Advent Calendar

We love this cross stitch advent calender, its been featured last year on our blog too, and is PACKED full of cross stitch goodies. You get new needle minders, quality fabrics, threads and needles, and cross stitch patterns to boot. If you’re looking for the biggest bang-for-your-buck cross stitch advent calender, this is it.
It does come in as the most expensive on our list, but the fact that they almost always run out by the end of September just goes to show that not only is it worth it, but people keep coming back for more! For the last two years the haul has been well over $200 worth, so a great saving if you’re a fan of cross stitch goodies.
This year they’re also selling an optional upgrade pack, which includes a project bag for keeping all your gooes, and 3 6 inch Elbesee embroidery hoops, so you have everything you need to finish those 3 included projects.
Includes:
– 3 cross stitch patterns
– Zweigary fabrics
– DMC Floss
– Unique needles
– Limited edition needle minders
The Do It Yourself Cross Stitch Advent Calendar
Cost: $33 (£25)
From: Stitch People
Unlike the other cross stitch advent calenders on our list, this one you make yourself. The purchase is a download only, with you needing to source all the threads and fabric to make the calender. But once you do, you have a mini advent calender you can fill with whatever you like!
By default each day comes with a mini cross stitch about twice the size of a postage stamp, but you could add little treats or chocolates in if you prefer.
What we particularly like about this one is that each of the mini cross stitches you get each day go onto the tree as decorations, meaning you slowly become more and more festive each day!
